I’ve moved!
Tumblr, you’ve been great. I’ll miss all the cat photos, the gifs, and the ‘likes’ from spamblogs like ‘Taxidermy Outlet Milwaukee’. If you need me I’ll be here!

Packaging I designed for the Butler’s Pantry, a chain of artisan food shops in Dublin. (c) Butler’s Pantry 2011
I designed the catalogue for ‘Underground’, and exhibition in which nine artists created underground installations in dug-out holes in a Dublin Warehouse. See below for a short teaser trailer I made to promote the show. For more information visit www.basicspacedublin.wordpress.com
The brief for this project was to take the poem “Thrift” by Tony Curtis and convey it visually, so I chose to make a film. I thought about how I wanted to show the metaphors used throughout the poem, and decided that I would do that through the audio, mixing natural sounds with man-made imagery. I composed the music for the film as I wanted it to sync well with the visuals. It was a really enjoyable project to work on, and I’m quite happy with the outcome, hope you enjoy it!
Thanks to the poet, Tony Curtis, and to Robbie Kitt for lending his voice!
A wee poster done for my college’s Halloween Ball!
Over the summer I decided to make an animated Music Video for one of my favourite songs, and after many many hours work it’s finally finished! I wanted the animation style to be fast and snappy, and wanted the aesthetic to be similar to a pop-up book: flat but containing 3d elements. The song is ‘Brandy’ by Looking Glass and the video was made entirely in After Effects.
Some posters for the dj/vj Pogo, which may be available to buy on his website soon, I’ll keep you posted!

Just for fun!
A design for a new edition of ‘The Devil’s Dictionary’, a satirical dictionary of common terms by Ambrose Bierce, first published at the end of the 19th Century. I thought a snake theme was appropriate as it relates to the devil but also represents slyness and cynicism, which are important elements of the book.
My very own typeface, Ardent.
